Solar panels and a battery on your new roof

If you are replacing an asbestos roof anyway, it is worth planning solar before the new roof goes on. We are not a solar installer. With your consent we pass your details to a separate MCS-certified installer who will talk to you about panels and an optional battery.

Questions

Good to know.

Will solar save me money?

It depends on your roof, usage and tariff. We make no promises about savings. The installer will give you their own estimate.

Do I need a battery?

No, it is optional. A battery stores spare daytime power for the evening. The installer will tell you whether it makes sense for your use.

Do I need an MCS installer?

MCS certification is generally needed to be eligible for export payments. Ask the installer to confirm.
